Well damn. One thing is for sure any Star Wars product that has been released is extremely hit or miss and unless you are a big Star Wars fan such as myself, you will feel the pain after each box. I tried a couple of boxes at my LCS and got next to nothing. An auto/50 of Sebulba and two medallion cards of Baze Malbus and Snow Trooper, plus an auto of a jedi who's name escapes me. Then I went to another shop since my LCS ran out of boxes and got a three hit box and one was a sketch. I have always wanted a nice sketch card for my PC since they just look so cool and to have one of an iconic Star Wars character is definitely a bonus! Here it is!! My other two hits were a Watto auto and a Jyn Erso medallion.

Definitely a nice sketch! As a Lando collector, I pick up cards on the secondary market, though I may pick up a blaster at Target every now and then. With a new set coming out nearly monthly, there is definitely a glut of cards. Let's face it, they are movies with a finite set of shots that would be used on cards. With certain cards we have seen that exact scene or shot depicted on a card for years. Of course, this is only for the older films. But yes, you can easily sink a lot of money into SW cards and not get your value back.

I have seen quite a bit of Star Wars products ripped in the past online, but never tried my luck until now. I liked these products, but since my LCS did not carry any of them, I never went to other hobby shops to buy boxes. What I like about Galactic Files is that it has autos and sketches from all of the Star Wars movies and shows whereas the products in the past focused on either one movie and the checklist was not as vast as this one. I started watching Clone Wars last year and really enjoyed it. Have not really seen much of Rebels, but what I have seen looks really good as well.

There have been at least a few Clone Wars sets released. It may be kinda hard to find boxes for them these days, but it may be worth a look. I know I have sketches from the 2008 series as well as season one and two of the the more current one.

Star Wars is a blessing a curse when it comes to completionists. Galactic Files is great. For now. As soon as December rolls around, or the Han Solo, err, solo film comes out, Galactic is not so encompassing. Sort of like those 'complete guide' books that come out pretty often. They are outdated as soon as a new film comes out.

Recent films have had the "Road to" card release then a series or two after that. As in, do we really need three sets for one movie?

Regardless, good to see a new thread in the non-sports sections!

What I don't really understand about this release is that, no one I know is busting it! I watch breaks online everyday and in the past plenty of boxes of Force Awakens, Masterworks etc etc were being opened, but I have only seen a couple of boxes of this product opened anywhere. Well, more for me!!

Star Wars has been taking the world by storm, and it is becoming more and more popular. My brother went to the San Diego Comicon a couple of weeks ago and collectors waited hours to get some of the exclusive toys and it is insane! It will only get bigger with the new movies coming out and I personally can't wait!
