This is a milestone mailcall for my Steen PC. 300 different cards with a few more incoming.
Let's start off with the Wayne Simmonds cards first.
I picked all of the Simmonds stuff up off the bay. I have a few more incoming and then I am caught up for cards I have actually seen. Haven't come across any of the 1/1's and I have still not seen an SPGU /10 or the HG YG /10. Any help in finiding those would be appreciated.
Now onto the cards that put me at 300 different Steen cards.
The first one finishes off the rainbow for me on this set, my last mailpost had the /10 version so all I needed to do was pickup the easy one for the completion.
Sticking with Black Diamond, some cards from this years set.
I only need the /10 version to complete the rainbow for this one. One was on ebay a few weeks ago and I thought I should be able to pick it up pretty cheap based on recent sales of /10 Steen cards.... low and behold the sucker sold for over $50... I will wait for another one.
and BD again, a nice ruby base card...
Now we'll move onto the 08-09 UD snags...
UD exclusives. I had already grabbed a HG and forgot to get one of these, so I grabbed it off ebay
Then the Jersey and Patch cards.
The only card I am lacking from 08-09 UD, not including the plates, is the clearcut duos with Sundin. I have only seen one of them online.
The next card completes another rainbow, I posted the easy one last mail call. I grabbed the 1/1 close to release and finally grabbed this one at a reasonable price on the bay
Let's check out some SPGU now...
06-07 first....
and this one was not hard to come by as it was always on ebay, the problem was people wanted $$ for it that would suggest better players were on the cards. I finally picked this one up on here in a trade.
and to finish with the SPGU a card I had kind of given up on and within a few days 2 appeared online. Steens # to boot.
To finish off the Steen stuff, two older cards that I am more then happy to pick up. The first one completes the mini rainbow, as I already have the regular version, this was a HI trade
and then Steens oldest North American issue. I had never been able to pick one of these up and was really glad to scratch it off the list. It was also obtained in a trade here.
Well that is it for the cardboard aquicitions. Now onto my GERMAN pick-up. In a totally random purchase on the weekend my wife and I went and bought this little guy....
Who I am afraid won't be little for a very long time. Our new German Shepherd Puppy
