What is up with this chump... Has to be one of the dirtiest players out there or is he just having a horrible game. If anyone is watching the Bruins vs Stars game he is dishing out low blow after low blow. He just tried it against Lucic and the refs saved his butt-- again-- Must say that Ference laid out one of the best hits on him and then Ott's Girlfriend Avery got a pounding from Ference. Just wondering what's up with this Chump

Well I must be the only one watching this fight fest. Ott gets a 10 min misconduct and get the cowards way out. Then Avery picks up where the other chump left off and Savard procedes to beat the hell out him. yes it may have been 4 on 1 but he deserved every bit. Very lucky it was not Lucic who he hit. Hnidy then proceded to take out his frustration on Niskinen..

i found it pretty, funny, but its also pathetic what he was doing...atleast if your going to run around use clean hits.

I don't think it has anything to do with bias. Ott made a mockery of himself and his team by failing to man up in this game. I have no clue how anyone could be a fan of this scrub. He is a step above Hollweg.

there's no bias whatsoever, avery had his a$$ handed to him by andrew ference and ott turtled TWICE. the bruins just responded to cheap and dirty hits from those two. that's it, plain and simple - sticking up for your teammates.

Never liked Ott from day one. I remember seeing him play here in St.John's at one point. He was buzzing around all night hitting the smaller guys. Marc Moro finally grabed him and he turtled like the little sook he is. He is still up to his old tricks now.

Ott should have known he crossed the line when the Referee didnt even call a penalty when Hnidy dropped his gloves and grabbed Ott behind the play.

Ference is the man in Boston today!

I don't get it. Any other players would have been called for hooking in the neutral zone and charging when Ott jumped to make the hits along the boards. If those calls were made the rest of this garbage wouldn't have happened.

Ott and Avery should both be suspended, I can't believe Avery didn't even get a boarding call on the hit from behind on Lucic. Next Starsv. Bruins game, Avery may die, you saw Lucic pointing at him and I don't think he will care too much if avery doesn't want to fight.

Two of the most despicable characters in the NHL on the same team.

I knew of Ott's and Avery's reps, obviously, before I watched every second of that game last night. They both cemented their reps as cheap shot artists, but I'll at least give Avery credit for dropping the gloves, even if it was at least the 3rd time in that game that he ought to have done it, rather than turtling when challenged. Reminded me of the game when Neely refused to let Lemieux turtle, instead bashing his helmeted head off the old Garden's boards when he tried to ignore Neely's repeated requests to go.

BTW, I have to say it was one of the most entertaining and exciting games the B's have played in about 5 years. It had it all - goals, fights, hits... and say what you will about a couple of the softer goals Turco allowed. He made at least 2, maybe 3, of the "Oh My God, How Did he Stop THAT shot" variety before he let a few in. Game could have been 8 or 9 to 1.

Ott will get his soon enough. I still like Avery. At least he will drop his gloves and fight.

ott and avery are doing there jobs........

Please explain. I didnt watch the whole game, but they didnt appear to draw many penalties and they didnt turn the tide of the game when the Bruins were already winning. It seems to me that they just p-ssed off the Bruins and the Bruins took them down.

It's funny because Ott and Avery didn't do their jobs. Every penalty they drew they also ended up in the box. He obviously didn't see the game to make a comment like that.

There is a difference between agitators "doing their jobs" and attempting to hurt people. If Avery or Ott want to hit, beak and agitate people then by all means. They should be running their mouths trying to get guys off of their games. But when you try low bridging guys, hitting from behind or hurting people...well thats where a line is drawn

Rarely and only against guys he decides are small enough to fight, if he does something way over the line and a bigger guy comes knocking he turtles or runs away or calls for the refs help.

He occasionally will drop them but he only drops them maybe once for every 3-5 times he's challenged.
