Hey everyone,

Haven't around a lot for awhile, but still lurk from time to time.

I got rid of most my cards except for the Scott Niedermayer collection, but that has now been stolen.

If anyone sees an influx of rare Niedermayers showing please let me know.

They were stolen from Peace River, AB, closest shops I know of are in Grande Prairie and Edmonton. I'll be updating the RCMP file number I have with the card collection.

Thanks

I'll keep an eye out here in Calgary. Sorry this happened.

Hey - someone is selling 1/1 neidermayers on Facebook.

Did you own the pen pals with Larson 1/1 or the dual shield with Rob, or the dual with shanny?

Yes, these are my cards, thanks for the tips everyone.

I'm in a treatment centre for PTSD and addiction for first responders. Surrounded by cops, but they can't help me from here  such is life.

I'll look this guy up Facebook

Can’t believe this!! Sorry so much! Was it a burglar or how could that happen?

All the best

Helge

Is there any news on this?

At least some of these cards have surfaced in the same province already. That part sounds good, like the police should have something to go on and should have video surveillance of someone selling the cards to the actual shop. Also Facebook information can actually be used in the court of law.

Hope you get your cards back!

Someone hit a card shop close to me (Ontario) recently. Not sure exactly what was taken but I believe it was mostly Pokemon and Magic. Also I believe the thief knew what he was there for.

I'm in a basement suite and left the laundry door unlocked in case the smoke alarms in the house went off since they're hard wired throughout.

I contacted the person who was selling them and he'll be dropping them off with his local RCMP detachment and he's trying to contact the couple people who bought some off of him.

It is just disgusting…feel very sorry for you! Hopefully you will get your cards back, I think the market for high end cards of your player is small, so the hobby network should get it done to nail that person!

Please keep us updated!

If you have proof the cards are yours, contact the police and have them contact the seller. Selling stolen goods is a criminal offense and if he continues on with the sales after being contacted by the police it's trouble for him. They would also have to pass on any information they have on the person who provided the cards for consignment and hopefully that could lead to them catching the person since they would then have financial records and an identity. You could also then take that person to court for any losses incurred.

Alright, I think it's time I should provide an update. Sorry for leaving it so late, been busy trying to get a lot done before I go for back surgery next week.

So, where do I begin.

Upon returning home after finishing up at the treatment, which went phenomenal by the way, excellent staff there who really make a difference people's lives. Feel a whole lot better about myself.

Okay, where was I? Oh right, upon returning home, discovered a few other things were gone, other than what I already knew (truck key fob, thankfully the battery is dead in the truck, socket set, beef jerky!?!, hopefully they enjoyed the ghost pepper flavour lol). Someone had unscrewed lights in the backyard and outside of my front door.

Conversations with the Slab Sharks went nowhere, watch the cards sell. Gathered up all the information regarding my cards (excel spreadsheet, scans of nearly 1400 cards) and conversations I had with Slab Sharks and the Facebook seller and put everything USB stick and dropped it off with the RCMP and filled out a written statement.

Haven't heard anything back from the investigating officer, we have a small detachment that covers a large area and my file is small time compared to most of the issues they have to deal with.

A couple of weeks ago I did notice notice that a large number of Scott Niedermayers were popping up on COMC and I can they are mine, as I have all the serial numbers documented. I tried to find a way to contact the seller, but there's no option for that on COMC.

So as of now, it's just sit and wait, which I'll have lots of time for after my back surgery, if I can tolerate sitting that is.
