StubHub Question.

I have recently purchased Leaf tickets for two games. One game I cannot make it nor can I afford what I paid for the tickets as I have had to take some time off of work. My question is how does the StubHub process work and is it legal. If I paid face value for the tickets that is what I would sell them but I paid well above face value for these tickets so that is the only reason i am going there. How is this site legal and does anyone know the fees and what it take to deal with them. I went on the site but I am unsure about things. If anyone has sold on Stub Hub your help would be greatly appreciated.

it is just a resale site like ebay. instead of auctions, sellers set their own prices through the site. people go to the site, look for tickets, and purchase. Stubhub then protects both the buyer and sellers by ensuring delivery of tickets. everything is sent FedEx with tracking.

not sure of the selling portion of the fees though. i know when i buy i have to pay for the fedex 2-day shipping and another convenience charge.

I use Stubhub a lot for college basketball tix and those sellers(students) have no problem going way above face value. Somehow they get around scalping rules. And yes you will pay SH a % of your sale.
The advantage is they guarantee you'll get the tix. At NCAA tourney they had a table setup for will call.

Stubhub is quite legal. People buy the tickets from Stubhub, and in turn, you send them the tickets almost as though you are Stubhub yourself. You then receive 85% of the sold price a few days after the tickets are received. They even give you everything you need, including a prepaid FedEx shipping label, to ship the tickets in line with their quality of service.

It worked very well for me when I was selling Penguins tickets last year. I built a fair margin into the ticket prices for myself, and they sold well.

Sell a .05cent base card of Sundin, and to the winner, throw in the the hockey game tickets. I remember when they had the Heritage Classic game in Alberta, that is how most of the auctions on Ebay were running, as I guess in Alberta you cannot sell for above face value.

They finnally pulled the plug on those too, lol. It only took them many years.

What I may do is add some sets of cards that book at the same value that the auction goes for over the face value. I have some SPGU sets, SPX, and Authentic that i want to unload anyway.
