Hey all,

I have been quite of late (new job) but still visit regularly.

Due to the postage hike my buying and trading has been less than usual but a few things have made their way to the UK including once card that has tipped the balance in my favor.

My Meyer collection now sits as per my signature,

17/25, 35/64, 118/249 and sadly 0/1 for the black.

However the above numbers now mean I have 50.14% of all Stefan Meyer cup cards meaning I can officially claim no one has (or would want) more Meyer cup cards than myself, I also believe it is the most complete cup RC collection in a PC (although I am sure a few others are close).

Possibly the most worthless single cup collection in terms of BV but priceless to me.

There is an extra 1 on its own at the bottom but it's one of the sheet cut ones so I don't count it but did not want to leave it out.

Onwards to 60% I guess.

What's crazy about that?!? I've followed the same path with my Ryan Parent pc, although I think I'm only pushing about 30% Pete. I say if it makes you happy go for it, (especially with your personal connection) and the cards are a lot cheaper now than when they first came out. You said it best yourself, "priceless to me".

I also think it is great Pete. Doesn't matter who the player is as long as you love him. Looks great together. Just curious, at what point did Meyers become your favorite player, and why? :)

It was all strange coincidence.

I snagged his cup cards in the challenge me and jdg573 did back in 08 and I decided to chase some more.

He was a Sask boy so it ticked a box, then I found out I had seen him play twice in pre season games agains the Flames (one in my only Flames game in the dome in 06 and one in Saskatoon in 07) so I had that too.

Then he got traded to the flames so it seemed like fate and then he eventually followed me to the UK.

It’s a strange way to have found a pc player but somehow it was meant to be.

Cool story Pete. Thanks for sharing. Sounds like fate as well. Playing for the Braehead Clan of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). I had to look that up with google. Have you been to many of his games?

It's not as if my Marcus Foligno hoard is going to buy me a house, maybe a sandwich..

I enjoyed that challenge but I still am haunted by the defeat. And I take no responsibility for this collection.

And if anyone knows about a worthless collection just refer to my flames cup collection. With that being said this is freaking fantastic
 
I pulled 1 from a tin years ago and I wonder if you got it in that pile of yours? Value or not it's quite an accomplishment so Bravo!
 
That's a great shot right there! Awesome job on getting all of those. As long as it means something to you, that's all that matters. Has the 1/1 black even surfaced since release?

And guys, if you ever want to make a deal with Pete, he's a top knotch member!
