Haven't pitch the idea to moderators yet, I just want to see what you guys think.

I would like something to see all collectors from a same set somewhere. So if I buy a box of the product just for fun and I don't want to do the set, I can check to see who is collecting what for that specific set (not specific players)

I think it would be nice to have a Sticky for each new set on the market. then we can post what we are looking for in the set and this on both traders and buy sections so we can expect money or cards for them.

Ok maybe it will be a lot of Sticky with 3 majors compagny but H.I. could create another section for set builders.

I would start with 13-14 SP Authentic since this is a very popular set and I know a lot of people that will buy only 1 box and don't know where to trade/sell the rest.

I hope it make sense since English is my second language :)

What do you think? if we have enough support, I can bring this to the owner...

Thanks

There is already a set collectors/ base exchange in the general hobby area... maybe some specific rules around what you want to do could be applied there.

Yes. I want something different. I want a sticky message that will stay on top of the page with the name of the series. Then people can reply with what they are looking for from that specific set. That way you can open some product for fun and knowing that you will be able to sell or trade it for a PC item if you don't pull one...

I hesitate to add a bunch of sticky threads to any of our existing forums.

We could create a new sub-forum for threads like this if enough members would use it.

I would say that a new sub forum would work best. Just label each as a certain set and year.

I know that I break a box of most new products. I do not do anything with the base or inserts because I just do not bother. If I could move them to someone who would need a bulk of them I would be happy to get a card in return or even if they would cover the shipping cost the cards are all theres.

Yes. A sub forum for set collectors would be nice! but not to post your needs for every set you are looking for but new products on the market when they go out.
I think this will avoid a bunch of daily bumps also and a better chance to find your wants!

maybe it can be a sub album with temp sticky's.
something around keeping the 4 most recent release's stickied + maybe 1 or 2 that have lots of traction and activity.

Yep. good idea. I am sure the Upper Deck series one and SP Authentic thread will be very popular. Actually this sub forum will only contain 20 or so threads per year without Panini. but with a lot of replies (I hope).

Do leave a place for older set collectors. I am still trying to complete my 2000 UD ICE set and 95/96 BAP Die cuts.

Thnx

Would be really nice to have a subfolder for 90s collectors. Tough to go through all threads in the buy/sell section and trade section. Think there is many that feels the same way

come on guys. 350 reads with 12 post. I still think this is a really good idea. If you pull a specific card from a new set, you will know exactly who is looking for that card and not waste your time by posting and wait for an answer...many many good side to this.
As long as members update their post.
Thanks

I love this idea as well. As a case breaker, I'd have a thread to go to even before posting a thread of my own in the Buy/Sell section which to be honest, never works very well

I think it would be a great feature and that it should clearly indicated whether a member is looking to buy or looking to trade.

Maybe I'm missing something...but, why not just start up a separate forum for set collectors. You can have as many categories as you want and set it up exactly the way you think it will work best. I'm sure the admins here would let you link to it and promote it with collectors on this forum.
