Hey Guys,
im a computer science student and would need your help.
i have to make a computer program. naturally, i want to make a software to contribute to the hobby.
What i need from you guys is suggestions on what functions this program will do. The obvious such as print, sort and view checklists will be there.
What other features would you guys like in a program geared towards the hobby.

Please fire away all suggestions and ill let you guys and gals know how the project progresses.

Thanks,

Maybe a method for storing sales history's on limited cards. This way you have a refference for the rarer cards right at your fingertips, nto hoping one sold on ebay in the last few months

Ya a software that could keep track of all completed ebay sale and classify them in list that could be use for a pricing reference in the mag..

Good luck with what ever you do

expanding on that. It would be really great to have a online organized library with pictures of the cards sold on ebay and who bought and sold them as well as for how much. The pictures would clarifiy if the card was ever doctored ie. patches changed etc. so that we could simply bring up the serial # and see what it should look like. Some sort of search engine into "our" archives of serial #'d cards. good luck. just my two cents!

Can you make a virtual card binder?

Im thinking a nine cad page that you could insert your cards images into and then turn the pages in order. Like a ring bider only virtual?

Thanks guys for all the suggestions so far.
please keep replying to this thread with additional features you would like and i will do my best to implement them.

how about something like a hockey card library, i guess that you would have anyone scan a card into your database and they would put the year, set and player. that way you can search say 2001-02 Private Stock. It will then list all of the players and you can click on the player and it will show all of the jersey or patch pieces that their is. It would work the best with numbered cards cause they could get sorted in order of number or something like that.
