Suspect Ultimate Patch?

I think there was a thread or sticky somewhere for these, but this one popped up and I don't want to bid his starting price (it has 0 bids) thinking it may be a fake. Anyone have a clue?

I don't know if its fake but I have been watching it on ebay thinking about taking a stab (probably won't, lol) but depending on the comments that follow on this thread I may unwatch it pretty quick.

Is there any specific reason you believe it's a fake? Is the patch from a replica?

I can't answer all the questions about this set offhand, but if it's a case where the patch is laid out on the wrong color jersey background, that was common with the 04-05 Ultimate patches. I've seen a handful where a home patch was laid on an away jersey and vice versa. I think UD cut patches away from jerseys and had to reattach them for the purpose of that set.

There were some amazing patches in that set and I've seen similar Modano with the shoulder patch, like this one (bottom middle):

I'd say real.

Only because I rarely see a shoulder patch that nice...just the whole looks too good to be true scenario.

But if Heder has that many of those sick patches, I'll assume it's legit, especially because it's another part of the shoulder patch than the card Matt showed.
