Sweet Shot Signature, stickers and memorabilia?

As a follow up I did an 07-08 Ryan Potulny (stupid flyers uggh :D ) and they are a complete different design. The puck is a complete layer with just a black box printed and embossed for the puck area. Think 3 layer - card front, middle with the black embossed puck area, and card back. Interesting that they changed manufacturing process year to year yet left the design nearly identical lol.

Where are our pics of the carnage? ;)

Kidding aside, thanks for destroying a few cards to let us know about how they are made. Would you consider the 07-08 cards as more likely to hold up over time based on the construction?

I didnt realize your first example was from the 06/07 version, thats interesting that the 07/08 release has a different design. From what you said about the 06/07 being a small square compared to an entire layer it sounds like the 07/08 version should be much stronger since the card itself would have to come apart to separate the puck layer from the rest. Maybe they realized the first design might not hold up well and decided to make the puck its own layer in the second release. That makes me feel good about the endurance of the auto surface :D

The Signature Sticks /15 are game used memorabilia, the Stick Signings /25 are manufactured pieces.

True, but Beckett would still consider the manufactured sticks as memorabilia, the same as they classify the Letter Marks as memorabilia. The true definition might not apply, but it's the closest designation that they could give it.

They are technically memorabilia, as is any regular card. It is not "Game Used" or "Event Used" though.
