Theres a bit of a resemblence... BUT theres only a finite number of colours/designs that would look good.

I wouldn't want a Brodeur auto with Green or Yellow or something... Looks different enough to me. I wouldn't sue for copyright infringement

Too be honest, other than the player and the fact that its autoed on an "ice" surface I dont find them to be that similiar.

GAWD I love Topps autos. Man, what were the odds on that puppy? 1:25,000? WOW! VERY UNDERRATED MEMORABILIA PRODUCTS! Give Topps Love, give Topps Love!

As for design, well, assides from the rink I don't think they are that similar either. A coincidence? The autos do look the same though. Start a thread with comparisions of UD to their udder competitors!

I always like Topps because of the borders & I think their insert cards were some really cool inserts.Sure wish they were back in the fold of producing cards.....Maybe someday,maybe someday .

At least they used different pictures. UD is bad for that. Look at the 04-05 Legends Classics pic of Henderson. Exactly the same pic as the 06-07 Parkhurst pic. I mean c'mon, thre has to be more than one picture of Henderson out there.

Sorry to diasppoint you Brian. The Topps card never came to mind when I asked our designers to come up with the design. I wanted to utilize the acetate to look like an Ice Rink. I guess we'll have to make the Ice Ring Vertical to make it unique next time.

I think that if there was any design I was basing the acetate card from is that the idea came from Sweet Shot basketball where the acetate card was made to look like a glass backboard

I think you give us too much credit to keep looking at past designs, especially our competitors.

I wasn't pointing fingers... It might've been just a case of 'Great Minds' think alike.
