Verified Trader,
Hey folks,
I think it's been a while since I have done and update on Pearsons Type 1 Diabetes collection. This started out as picking up Max Domi cards after his diagnosis nearly three years ago and has evolved into Bobby Clarke additions and finding out Kaapo Kakko and Luke Kunin are also T1D among others. Those 4 are the main inspiration for the collection though.
So after getting a bubbler from Dan (27Leafs27) with some Clarke stuff in it I asked Pearson if he wanted to do a little top 10, so these are his choices with no interference from me. Also a couple explanations along the way.
NUMBER 10
Not much to say here, I think I might have had it up a little higher, but he isn't as easily impressed haha
NUMBER 9
Not sure what it is about this one, guess it just catches his eye!
NUMBER 8
Acetate cards are cool so I'm a big fan of this one.
NUMBER 7
This spot is a tie between two Domi WJC cards, a cool dual jersey and another acetate card.
NUMBER 6
My FIL buys packs of cards to give to the kids every time he sees them and this card was pulled by his sister on the same day he pulled the Jack Hughes YG, needless to say a trade was brokered pretty quick.
NUMBER 5
I think this was the first card of Kunin in the collection, very cool looking.
NUMBER 4
This is one of the cards sent by Dan. I've been wanting to try and add a Clarke auto to Pearsons collection but just hadn't gotten around to it. Appreciate you sending the little care package Dan, cracked the top 5 too!
NUMBER 3
This spot is a tie between to flashy looking inserts. The polar lights I pulled myself which is always cool.
NUMBER 2
This would have been my number 1, glad he still thought it was worthy of a high spot. This was a card gifted to him by illae and signed in person the night he got to meet Max, (more about that here http://www.hobbyinsider.net/forum/showthread.php?t=428978) I think we have a duplicate of the regular card and I have to say that blank area was tailor made for a sig.
and now.....
NUMBER 1
He said this one is number one because he pulled it himself. Personally I think it cracks the top 10 but wouldn't have been my number 1. Not my list though so here it is!
If you stuck around this long thank you. If you have any of the above guys for trade let me know, I'm sure we can make a deal work. If you want to check out everything he has the link for that is here - - -> https://www.flickr.com/photos/160710528@N08/albums/72157716115872137
Cheers
