I stopped cracking wax with the exception of a few products - Ultimate, Premier, and Cup. Only interested in high-end, hard-signed content these days. Sold off most of my sticker autos with the exception of RCs. Just picking up singles of King's cards that catch my eye (Kopitar, Doughty, Carter, Robitaille, Gretzky, etc.).
Sparing myself all the pain of Trilogy, Black Diamond, SP Game Used, and all the early-release crap that I just don't collect any longer. To complicate things even more, the owner of the shop I've been going to for 25 years passed last year, and the new owner only had 2 tins of Cup for me instead of the normal 2 cases. So yeah, a lot of the thrill is gone.
But still search eBay every night for my PC guys of cards I need. Some weeks I find nothing, some weeks I'll find a few. Found a couple of nice UD Black hard-signed Kopitars recently that fit nicely in the PC.
