I know when it comes to 1/1s, most people would prefer a Shield card. But me? I always wanted this one. And now I do!
I'd been waiting for a glimpse of this card since the Cup hit the market back in 2006, but had no way of knowing if someone had broken it or if it was still trapped in a tin. It finally showed up on eBay at the end of last month, and I psyched myself up to lay down the biggest bid I've ever made on a card. Fortunately, it didn't require my max out to bring it home.
On a sidenote, this is the second time a card has been sent to me from Canada via Expedited to US, and its the second time the package was essentially pulverized. There was a hole in the envelope
, but the card was still there. I salute the seller for protecting the card well inside the envelope.
