Taylor Hall out for 8 weeks

Just reported on TSN's That's Hockey. Hall is gone for two months; the rest of the season? With a high ankle sprain.

Yup....it's confirmed he's done for the season.
I give credit to him as he stood up to an idiot and held his own on the ice, only to fall awkwardly on his leg and thus this end result.
I was really looking forward to seeing how he finished in the rookie standings.

Oh well, there's still time for Eberle to up his play.

I bet he thinks twice before doing that again. I like that Hall didn't back down but really one of his teammates should have grabbed Dorsett when they first saw him stalking Hall around the ice.

I have no problem with Hall fighting. That being said I think that Oilers stars in general should think twice before dropping the gloves, Souray and Hall should be a flashing red light to any other Oiler with a modicum of talent to not risk it.

He's been getting mauled all season and it makes me angry how seldom other Oilers will jump on the guy that's taking liberties on Hall and Eberle.

I don't blame him for finally snapping and taking matters into his own fists.

You're not watching the same team that I am - basically whenever Hall or Eberle get hammered - there always is a response immediately. As far as the team is concerned - those two are off limits - and there's always been a reaction from the rest of the team on the guy that threw the hit.

Also to be out for the season at this point isn't too big of a deal since the Oilers aren't a playoff team. In a few years I would think Hall would think twice about fighting someone.

i think its some guy named Stortini, huge guy, cant miss him. too bad for Hall, him and eberle made watching the oilers fun, even if they lost.
