Team Canada Autographs - Circa 1993

I went over to my parents house this afternoon and dug through a bunch of my stuff left behind. I have several binders full of in person autographs from my hounding days in the early-mid 90's (the glory days of collecting).

I forgot that I had completed this 7 card set back in the day. It's the ORIGINAL acetate cards issued by Classic. This particular set was from 1993 Classic Hockey Draft Picks.

In case you can't see, the cards are signed by:

C - Greg Johnson
A - Paul Kariya
N - Brian Savage
A - Bill Ranford
D - Mark Recchi
A - Geoff Sanderson
_ - Adam Graves (Captain)

All were obtained in person by yours truly. Some during the Team Canada exhibition games... others a year or so later with their respective NHL teams.

Pretty cool considering these 7 guys don't have very many "certified" autographs due to their career timing and/or signing habits.

PS: If anyone wants to take this set off my hands, I'll listen to offers.

Are the cards see through on the right side? I think they are iirc.

I think those cards utilized the PETG technology UD is talking about in Ice

Sweet set, kinda like the Greg Johnson, but I could be biased as well

Yep... they are clear on the left side and translucent blue on the right side.

These were probably my favorite insert cards back in the day.

I also had the #1 draft picks set (almost) signed. Got 7 of the 10 signed. I just needed to get Todd Harvey, Viktor Kozlov, and someone else.
