Team USA

Ok cool, I always wondered if national womens team stuff is ever available. You'd think some channel (likely 4536 on the dish) would pick up TSN's feed.
Congrats to Team USA though I only caught a bit of the first anyone know if it was a good game?

I watched it this morning on Comcast channel 15 from 9am - 12pm PST. Usually these two teams play close games, but I was surprised how easily the US women dominated the game.

Not to come off as sexist, because that is so not me...but Melody Davidson is the wrong person for the job of head caoch for Team Canada. Why is it that we think a women's team needs a female head coach in Canada? Is she the best person for the job? Not even close.

Time for a change before the Olympics.

Oh yeah, way to go, Team USA. We'll get you next time, though.;)

Wow...I can't remember a time when Team USA has beaten Canada since the days of Cammi Granato...guess I don't follow it enough. Also can't think of a time when it HASN'T been USA/Canada in a major women's tournament.

Thats because it hasn't happend to the best of my knowledge anyways. Right now the womens game is basically a two horse race. Besides the Canadians and Americans I think the Fins (maybe Swedes) are there closet compition and there still aways back as far as talent goes. I believe there was talk of removing it from the Olympics because there really isn't that much compition. I don't agree with that though, eventually other countries will get better as long as there is exposure/funding.

FYI, last year, Team USA beats Team Canada in final of the World.

And, if my memory is correct, the Canadian beats Sweden in the final of a recent important tournament. Was it in Torino? The Swedish goalie was excellent, wich lead to the USA lost in semi-final.

Torino was Finland/Sweden final I believe. Your thinking of the last World Junior Championship in Ottawa, and yes, the Swedish goalie stood on his head in that game even though they lost

lol, while the Swedish National team goalie does have broad shoulders and a slight peach fuzz above her upper lip I think calling her a 'his' is a tad much.
Sarah, I think you missed that the conversation is about womens hockey.
