Why doesn't Upper deck do tennis cards??
There is an opening here since Leaf has no idea how to do tennis cards since they acquired Ace authentic.

Thanks,

You need to have a license, probably from the WTA, and it must not make business sense on a Return On Investment basis. Believe me, if UD thought they could make money from it, they would do it.

Not to sure about everyone else out there, but I'd be buying it by the case if made by Upper Deck.

^^^ i'm right there with you. i just picked up a hard signed Roger Federer auto from Allen & Ginter! i have been looking for one of those for yeeeeaarrs since Ace only did sticker auto's, it's been hard. still don't know of a hard signed Nadal but really need someone to make one. he's easily my #1 want now for my collection. him and a Michael Phelps auto.

im sure it is similar to pga and lpga, each player handles their own deals. that is what makes golf so tough

i think you are right. i talked to Topps about getting Nadal to sign for Ginter and their comment was not every athlete wants to work with us, leading me to believe that the players themselves have full control. to bad... cause yeah i'd buy cases of it, way more then i do hockey.

I was about to mention Ace as well. I had no idea Leaf bought them, though Google tells me that was back in 2012, so clearly I am behind!

I had a small Roddick collection a few years ago. Ace was a distraction at the time. I have some Agassi cards as well. Hmm, I may have to see if I can find those again!

The only contribution I have to this thread:
"...and the elephants are dancing on the graves of squealing mice,
Anyone for tennis? Wouldn't that be nice?"

Leaf has been releasing tennis products for the last few years.

There has been:

2013 Leaf Ace Authentic Grand Slam Tennis Hobby
2015 Leaf Ultimate Tennis Hobby
2016 Leaf Metal Tennis Hobby

I also see a preorder for 2017 Leaf Signature Series Tennis Hobby listed on Dave & Adams being released next month....

Having played tennis for over 25 years and a fan of the game, I decided to try a box of 2017 Leaf Signature Series Tennis. Glad I did.

Pretty good that I recognize 7/11 signatures.

Here are the pulls.

And the hit of the box. I got one of the all time greats in Pete Sampras. 14 time grand slam winner. /15
