This mail starts with Thank yous.

The first thank you goes out to one of our faithful leaders, quincy.

Some unexpected cards in the mail that arrived with a Grant Fuhr stamp on the bubble mailer.
Sweet.
It's on a 3x5 waiting for the McFarlane figure :D
The top left two are from q.
Thanks Steve, Very much appreciated, maybe I should try to corner the market :D

The others, are our second thank you. From a fabulous contest run by Mr. Mark Caskey. Always nice to get some Oil in the mail. The Torres is iffy, but I like Raffi and refuse to buy cards that have islanders logos on them.
If Comrie went there, my collection would have stopped
So a huge thank you to Mark, you are a huge component aswell my good man

Next up,
what to do next.
Let's do what I got today in a visit to the shop I probably shouldn't have made, ended up costing me money I don't have :o
First, he's majorly switching focus, like, sportscards what?! had some boxes of parallels in the display case I went though and lucked out finding one I know I need and one I think I need, but am kinda suspect, namely, I think I might have it. Without furthur.

While I was there I noticed something, it doesnt' really belong in this forum, but I'm posting it anyway because it's interesting.

XFL CARDS!!
Now, there was mention of these on the radio a long time ago and wanted to get some, but, my shop (where I got these) said he didn't have any at the time. So, either he found some or whatever, but I bought some packs (buck each? hello!)

So here's the good stuff, but not all the stuff.

That card inthe middle there (draw your attention away from the women) is a Team Used Practice Used Football card!! and it's XFL football so it's made of rubber.
Really cool card! For a buck! :D
Only book @ 25, but the odds of pulling a football card are 1:190 according to the back of the pack. That was the hardest card to pull!!
Really cool.
The player cards are (clockwise from 12:00) Jermaine Copeland (CFL fans know who this is) Tommy Maddox, Todd something and Scott something.

I like them,
I think I might go get the other few packs he had.
Also had parkie retro packs for a buck, which is very tempting, but I doubt they have anything in them.
bt it's a really good deal pack for a buck.

Lastly!
This is from Friday, or before for those who have long memories.

That is a program from the Junior B Game I won tickets too with that Metallica DVD.
Went with the family on Friday past and it was a good time.
Was fun bein there for my mom and grandma as that's the same arena that the St. Catharines Teepees used to play in, a team that saw players the likes of Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita play. so there was some memories floating around. Same seats according to my mom and grandma aswell.

We sat row 3 and I took a buncha pictures. Here's one. My own version of Paul Henderson :D

And one from the pregame skate:

I took more, but, havent resized any of them (just did those two) so, I won't upload em at this point.

I guess I should explain the autographs all over the program

The game was their last home game before playoffs, so they were signing autographs after the game up in the lobby. My mom and sister went into the fray (the local folk were going NUTS getting these autos, I was less enthused, but my mom said "do you want some of them?" I told her I was indifferent, but, we were waiting while my sister chatted up the goalie (she does that allllthe time now that she plays goal) so there was time to kill.)
So that's not all the team (obviously) maybe half. can only identify them by their numbers, which they were nice enough to include.

So that's my story :D

Awesome game pics Phil! Also liked the XFL cards, i bought 1 pack back when the XFL was still in existence (1 season..heh) and got a Salaam game used football, i ebayed it for like $15..those cards were cool.

Wicked sweet stuff Phil. :D I like the Smyth O'Canada jersey, cool picture of him on it. The others aren't bad either!

Cool auto'd program, kinda neat. If you're lucky maybe one of them will make the NHL. (It's a Junior B team, right?) The local junior B team here has had about 3 or 4 players make the NHL...not to have huge careers or anything, but ya know, soild jobs. (Well, not for this year though... )

Wes

BTW: I'm out of bubble mailers, but when I get some more I'll get your addy so I can get the two cards I have out for ya. Ok? :D
