The Great Zo
Verified Trader,
NOTE! The tracker has been discontinued. Please read my final post in this thread for details.
This was lost some time last week when some data disappeared, I guess... so let's try it again.
Note that I've been away from home the past week so I've got about a million plates to catch up on here, on ebay, and real-life stuff to do as well -- so give me some time and I'll get all the PMs answered.
-------------------------------
This will be my third year running a plate tracker for the Upper Deck plates released in UD2. It may be my last year, since the workload is pretty decent -- but with a vested interest in the set yet again in three of the players I collect, I decided to go through with it.
Here are the links to the three plate trackers... including the brand new one for this season:
2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08.
How can you help? Well, by no means can I do all of this on my own.
Ebay -- I run extensive searches on ebay that pick up 99% of all press plates. However, if one ends and you don't see it on my list within a few days, give me a message! I may have missed one. For a regular plate active on ebay with a good title, though, assume I'll be able to find it.
Message Boards -- If you see a plate pulled or posted on ANY message board, let me know. Drop a link if you can! I try to look for as many as I can on message boards, but miss a lot.
Local Sightings -- If you see a plate at a show or a shop, get some of the information on it and bring the info back here.
You can let me know these things either by email or a post right here.
As for what to report? I have gotten a lot of useless "I think I saw a plate of some rookie down at my shop" type reports in the past. These are not helpful to me. Please -- ensure you can get me the following complete information on the plate:
1) Year
2) Color
3) Player
4) Card Number
5) Who owns it?
6) How was it acquired?
For #5 and #6, if it's someone on a message board, I'll use their ID. If it's at a shop or a show, I'll just put down the state/province/country that the plate was sighted at.
If it's a completed transaction, let me know who both parties were. Obviously, I enjoy tracking sale value when possible, but volunteering that information is purely optional.
OR -- and this is preferred -- take a look back at the older charts to see exactly what I put down, and that will give you the best idea of what kind of info I'm looking for!
---------------------------
I do this as a labor of love -- it helps a lot of people and it's a great source of information. It's a lot of work, though, so any help I can get in seeking out plates and information is greatly appreciated.
I update the older charts about once a week, but for a while, will be updating this year's chart at least once every day and a half or so.
THANKS!
