I have to say I am very disappointed in the packaging of this Under Glass auto. I paid $55 for the card to be sandwiched between two top loaders?? I would've been happy to pay another dollar or two for a screwdown. Anyways, I am still going to try and sell this card to someone who doesn't mind that it is cracked in half. I am asking $25 for the card in case someone wants it. If it doesn't sell here I am going to list it on the bay as is.

PM me if you are interested in any of the above listed cards.

Cheers,
Darin

Ouch on the Kovalchuk! What was the seller thinking? Was it at least in a bubble mailer?

As for the rest of the 'Good' & 'Bad' Nice additions!

Thanks for pointing this out!

Dude that is just brutal, sorry you have to deal with that!! It would of been a sweet addition to the pc or the tradelist..:(

Brian,
Yea, they did ship in a bubble mailer, but to sandwich a thick acetate card between two top loaders is crazy.

Luckily I found another Kovalchuk this past week for my set. I just wish I didn't have to buy the card twice :(

Darin, that ****s man! glad you got another, but you shouldn't have had to...

just out of curiosity, did u leave a neg fb?

I didn't leave negative FB. I can't fault the seller for mishandled mail, even though it was their fault for packaging the card poorly. As an ebay seller myself, if a buyer doesn't purchase insurance on the package, it ultimately is the fault of the buyer. It ****s either way. Thanks for the support though.

I assume sending it into UD is like putting a message into a bottle and chucking it into the sea.

Sorry about the glass auto being cracked. :(

I would try sending it back I know I bought a Tootoo Ice rc the parallel /25 and I got it cracked. Seller had it in a white envelop. I sent it back to him and he sent it to UD and got another one back. I would try it (send it with tracking so you know they get it) especially if you have another one now. Who knows with UD what you might get for it...

Insurance is for the seller, not the buyer. All the buyer has to do is file a complaint with eBay or PayPal and get a refund.

Not exactly the most honest thing to do, but if the seller sent it without DC, you can file a claim that it was never sent and PayPal will refund you.

As a seller, this response disgusts me. It has nothing to do with Delivery Confirmation. The card was damaged in transit and the BUYER opted not to pay for insurance. It sickens me that you are encouraging someone to do a chargeback while explicitly stating it's not honest. DUH!

Likewise, I don't think the card should be sent back to Upper Deck. Why should they replace something that was damaged on the secondary market in shipping? Are you going to lie and tell them it came out of a pack cracked in half?

The BUYER doesn't have to pay for insurance, it's not the buyer's responsibility to ensure that the card arrives intact. That is the SELLER'S responsibility.

That's why I always chuckle when a seller says "no returns if the buyer didn't pay for insurance". No, buddy, if the card arrives messed up, there will be a refund. That's not your call.

WHAT???????
 That's disgraceful!! He got the card, damaged yes, but...

**shakes my head at the dishonesty of this**

And here I was, expecting to see a Mike Ricci card ;)

That really ****s. You should contact upper Deck and see if they can't replace it.

I have never done it, but if I bought something from someone, and the seller sent it in a way that pretty much ensured that it would be damaged (as this guy did) and he was not coperative in refunding my money, you bet that I am going to find a way to get my refund.

Edit: Are *YOU* saying that *YOU* have $55 that you can just write off because some idiot seller was too lazy to ensure that the card arrived okay? I don't know about you, but I can't lose $55 and be okay. Then there's the whole priniciple of the matter as well. This is ENTIRELY the seller's fault.

I never said lie at all so please don't accuse me of doing so. I simply said send it back and see what happens.

Your right, this is not honest, and you should be ashamed for encouraging this type of behavior. :( Mike

"this type of behavior"? You mean holding the seller accountable for his actions?
