Just throwing this out there,
Glacial graphs VS Trilogy Scripts/ice scripts
Gemography VS autofacts

as far as i can tell those are the top four most listed staight (no jersey/patch) auto's.
Personally i prefer the glacial graphs from any year, they jsut appeal to me, its all great if i get a auto/patch but if i were to get just the auto i would like it to be the glacial graph.
just a thought, wondered what the rest of you collectors thought.

Glacial graphs are a great hard signed auto. When they used some stickers they were terrible.

I prefer the Ice Scripts myself. They are among the coolest cards every year, even pulling a common guy is a good pull. Glacial Graphs are nice too, but something about the plexi vs the acetate just appeals to me more. As per the other two, I dislike both Autofacts and Gemography. Gemography cards have been poorly designed since 06/07, and Autofacts are always poorly designed, in my opinion.

don't really have an opinion but what i have realized is that i like my star players on the glacial graphs whereas the ice scripts tend to present the lower tier signers better. don't know what it is...

My beef with the Ice scripts is the ease that the autos get scratched.. all things being equal Ill take them.

Personally Ill take Autofacts over Gemography because often times the checklist is better..

Personal fave though is the Cup's Chirography

I've seen a lot of the older plexi auto's fade over time, not sure if UD has corrected this problem in recent sets, but its enough to keep me away.

My personal faves are the "Sign of the Times" inserts...

Ice scripts from those choices is my fav.
BUT my personal favorite hard signed card is the Ultimate Signatures collection from ultimate every year.Love the set and finish it every time..gotta love the hard signed ones

Not in the original choices, but fits the criteria (non gu) - UD Retro Inkredible, simple clean design and great player selection (No Gordie Howe though - weird!). Does it matter that its a subset?

Definitely the Ice scripts. The cards themselves are beautiful and the sigs are just metal!

But by far the most popular autos are the SPA Future Watches. I try to get at least one every year
