Sometimes life gives you a second chance. The story of Bret "Hitman" Hart in the WWE did not end properly in 1997. It was a travesty and a farce with what Vince did at Survivor Series. They've got a chance to do something amazing in the next 4 months, and give Bret the golden sunset he truly deserves.

The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be is back where he belongs.

Nobody's been able to answer this for me...is he actually going to wrestle? I thought he wasn't medically cleared to wrestle ever again.

Yeah he had a stroke when he fell off his $2000 Mountain Bike in Calgary I think, it had a documentary on him and he showed everyone where it happened, he said lifting an arm was like trying to lift a house, he has his health and mobility and life back now but as as a physical wrestling return, I doubt it, I would like too see him maybe drive out in a beer truck or perhaps a maple syrup one because he's Canadian

He'll more than likely just be an authority figure and work a program with Vince and/or HBK. However, I have heard that there's a possiblity of a single match, but I would think it would have to be a heavily gimmicked match on account of his health. But still, HITMAN!

from what i read off the prowrestlingfans.com website, theres supposedly a Vince-Bret program thats supposed to run through Wrestlemania, and Brets contract runs from January through the 3rd week of April,so theres plenty of time for them to set that up,my question is,does he bring the Anvil with him so they can get the kids over with the fans

I would be shocked if during the course of this program we don't see HBK and/or Vince get clocked on Raw, worked "one punch KO" or otherwise. Maybe Shawn will conveniently lose his smile again the week before Bret's supposed to return.

His contract calls for ONE match and lasts from January 1, 2010 to April 30, 2010...right after WrestleMania.

I predicted that DX would get the Unified Tag Team Titles as this sets up a war with The Hart Dynasty. They may put DX over HD for the first few matches until a PPV (Royal Rumble?) where Bret comes out and screw over DX to give HD the titles...he'll likely be their "manager" or even better, become some sort of GM type guy on RAW.

Has the Hart Dynasty ever won a match? I only tune in sporadically to Smackdown but every time I see them they lose.

I'm glad to hear that Bret will be returning and all but am I the only one who doesn't give a crap about another Montreal Screw Job rehash? Just let it go already.

Agreed. I don't understand why people can't put it behind them when Bret already has...and he's the one that has the biggest vested interest in it.

It comes from the same school of folk outraged that he's signed on to the same company that "killed his brother" suddenly and the family is suddenly indebted to their fandom to go against the decision, despite the fact that 2 of his brother-in-laws and his niece and nephews have been employed by the company following Owen's passing and it wasn't as offensive then as it apparently is now.

People need to get over themselves once in a while.

This might be the only thing that will get me to tune in for a few shows.

Exactly. People are missing the fact that this will not only help WWE's ratings but allow Bret to have a hands on approach with TJ Wilson, DH Smith & Nattie Neidhart.

It'd be cool if he took on a heel manager approach for the New Hart Foundation.

No Bret as heel. He fills the role wonderfully, but the good folks in the US never got a proper chance to say goodbye or cheer him for really any point during his WCW tenure. The rest of the world has had their opportunity, now it's time for the US to get theirs.

I was stunned when I read in his book that the WCW idiots actually wanted him to cut a heel promo against his fans in Germany while he was injured after the Goldberg kick.

If he returns to a more permanent role, him going heel at some point isn't out of the question.

as much as im a fan of shawn michaels, id LOVE to see a match between bret and shawn and bret NOT SELLING any of shawns moves. not taking the superkick, not nothing, and actually taking it to shawn, maybe actually hurting him in a sharpshooter.

THAT would be classic

It'd be ironic for Bret to play the Goldberg role given how it was Goldberg that effectively ended Bret's career.
