This one arrived today. The most expensive single I've ever bought, but it was worth it. The whole 90 card set is complete now, easily the toughest set I've put together ever!

Thanks especially for Steve, I mean, No No No.....The other Steve for this last one, I was already tearing my hair out (what's left of it anyway) when I was looking for this one!

why are these ones so hard? this came out when I was on a break from collecting.

whats the story on them?

nice card.

nice card.

They came from 97-98 Collector's Choice Hobby packs so that there was 1:1 Single star cards (cards 1-45), 1:23 Double star cards (cards 46-65), 1:71 Triple star cards (cards 66-80) and 1:145 Quadruple star cards (cards 81-90). Retail had maybe like 80% worse ratios.

People says those Quadruple ones are the toughest to find and they should be, but for some reason these Triples were under some stones when I was looking to complete this set. I already completed the Singles a year or so ago and had two doubles and first half of each set was piece of cake to complete. The last two Doubles (Brodeur, Vernon) four Triples (Hull, Recchi, Nolan, Roenick) and two Quadruples (Modano, Sundin) took a while to find, and especially this Hull was one that mostly was in class of "I've once seen..." or "I think I had it some time ago". Finally this one that I got was on purpose tracked down for me and I really appreciate that!

Here's the thread I posted when the final Quadruple arrived:

Once I get scanner (a week from now?), I'll scan the whole set.

I borrowed my wife's camera and took a picture of Doubles and Triples (sorry for Sanderson being way too bright in the Triples-picture):

Congrats.

I saw you had been looking and checked when you posted it in the Buy/sell area but the only triple I ever got was the Gilmour (and I bought a lot of this stuff)

Nice to see someone got it tracked down for you and you can put the set to rest
