I fly in Thursday afternoon and fly out Sunday night. The HobbyInsider / Insider's Edge booth will be set up at the show for members to drop by, say hi and introduce yourselves, hang out, crack wax, etc. We are usually across from the ITG booth and have asked to be there again this year. I'm working on getting some lanyards with the HI logo and username/first name on there so we can find each other through the event.

Also, if anyone is around Thursday evening, we usually get together for a pre-Expo dinner at the Lonestar restaurant on Airport Road (right beside the Quality Suites on the corner of Carlingivew/Airport). I'll start a separate thread about that.

For the people who have been before or live in Toronto, is there much to do Friday or Saturday night? We are staying in Brampton. I tried to see if I could find some junior games, but no one is really playing close by. My brother and I planned to go to the HHoF and Gretzky's restaurant on Thursday night, but I'm sure we'll be bored Friday and Saturday night. We may go to dinner with the Cloutsnchara group Saturday night, but I'm sure we'll have some time to pass.

Any input?
 
I live in Brampton... there is not much to do. Sorry. But you will be SUPER close to the EXPO!

I also am planning to maybe drop by on Friday or Saturday. No real incentive for me to go this year card wise but always nice to see old faces. Probably go on whatever day my favourite Hab is signing autos at 2pm...
 
As usual, The IceBox will be at the Fall Expo in booth 1211-1214, right next to Crazy Jerry's huge stacks of unsorted stuff! (And I love Jerry, and man, do people buy from him!)

We'll have our usual assortment of high-end patches and singles, the remainder of our huge buy from Quincy, more stuff from the Robert Thomas Collection of autographed cards and 8x10s, tons of celebrity auto'd 8x10s, NASCAR auto'd 8x10s and much more, including:

* Set Killer's Corner, with more than 20,000 sorted parallels and inserts from the 90s up to the present!
* Game-used NHL practice jerseys (okay, well, practice used!) for just $50 a pop!
* Blowout CURRENT NASCAR caps and tees for just $10!
* Much, much more I can't remember right now because I'm half-asleep from sorting Panini parallels!

Attending Friday and Saturday - one of those two days i'll be bringing Game used sticks from Alex Steen, Martin Hanzal, Ryan Miller, Dustin Brown as well as a Nathan Horton Practice Jersey, Cody Hodgson Battallion Gloves and more.

There's always stuff going on after Expo with the HI crew - some of it is unplanned until the day of the event, but just drop by the HI/IE booth and we'll keep you informed.

If you're in Thursday, don't forget about the pre-Expo dinner at the Lonestar on Airport Road.
 
I will be there in booth 1003 all three days. I got my hotel on hotwire and i was able to get the Hilton Suites for only 74 a night! Its on hotwire under 4 stars at 74 a night.
 
Will be there all three days most likely, Sunday I have the day off from work so I will be looking for deals and the guys who want too sell their showcases too me LOL.

The only bummer is I may not be able too stay for the UD redemption Friday evening because of work, so Saturday is when I can officially dig into the redemptions. Hopefully everyone on Friday has pulled the autographs /75 and left me all the one's /25 for the weekend :)
 
I've been away from the boards for the most part in recent months, due to bigger life issues getting in the way of my enjoyment of the hobby, but I'll be there on Saturday with my two teenaged fellows. Looking forward to saying HI to some of you!
