The rarest card of all time?

For player collectors, sometimes team issues cards can be rare. Weather it is because these cards were designed for kids and have long since been thrown away or because they are perceived to have no value because it is not GU, Auto, stamped with serial numbering in triplicate...the point being, that these suckers are rare!

Here is the Dustin Brown version of the Craig Anderson card I just picked up.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-01-Guelph-Storm-4-Dustin-Brown-/381291592657?

Just to put it into perspective, I have over 30 Craig Anderson 1/1 (Not including NT printing plates), every year of Upper Deck HG card, and numerous cards out of 10 or less before one of these popped up on Ebay. Extremely rare.

I was just talking to someone the other day about this card I have.

05/06 Beehive Gold Border of Ovechkin.
I've searched eBay high and low and can only find a Braydon Coburn from that set. I've never seen another Ovechkin myself.

This is starting to sound like a good thread to post:
"I have this card, has anyone seen another?"

I remember years ago Beckett used to have a few pages in the magazine dedicated to "HAVE YOU SEEN ME?" with a list of cards that hadn't been listed for sale or seen on the boards yet from recent releases. I usually had a few that I sent them scans of.

I think as far as rarity, it will always be pretty had to tell just how scarce some cards are. Companies like to keep numbers secret to inflate rarity and interest.

Some examples:

These were unannounced inserts in 2008-09 UD Masterpieces. The checklist I believe says there are 70 different 1/1 randomly inserted into packs. My sleuthing at the time showed very few of these sketches ever coming up for sale/auction. However, I also tracked down info on several of the artists that are included in this set, and found there were alot more than 70 sketches done. So what's the real number?

Another might be this one:

2011 Parkhurst Lemieux Wire Photo Auto.

These were impossible to find when they came out, UD never released a print run, and they sell pretty well. I've only seen MAYBE 5 copies total, including the one on UD website...

I had a Kolvy pulled in the store and Greg sold it for $3200 on eBay a week later... It was one hot card

I used to tell my daughter one the the McDonald's inserts (su din with the Stanley cup) was the rarest card in the world as he would never win one.... She reminds me of that every time she sees one of them inserts pop up.

I know these are 1/1's but have never seen any of them...
