The start of a new set, and THREE whales landed

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Kevin (Inferno) inspired me with his Puck Signings to start an auto set. I'm a fan of the plexi cards, so I decided to go with Trilogy Ice Scripts. I've done several memorabilia sets, but this is my first auto only set. Out of the three years, I found 06-07 to have the most appealing design in my eyes. In about 10 days, I'm 10 cards into the set.

Of course, I already had the Gabby in my PC. The Koivu was a freebie from Curt (GabbyGuy). Thanks again, man!

These two are from eBay. As it turned out, the seller lives a half a block away from me. Small world! She was very easy to deal with, and I'm sure we'll be staying in touch.

These guys are from the 'bay, also. Three HOFers, and one that will be. Very nice.

Lastly, a couple for all the Habs fans. The Roy came from a super smooth deal with Keith(kdema). This was the one that got the ball rolling. It's nice to have one of the big ones knocked off the list right away. Thanks again, Keith.

Okay, now on to the whales....


I obtained this one in an easy trade with Mark (WildforCup10). I've been looking for one of these since I started collecting Gabby a few years ago. I really dig the ITG hard signed jersey autos. I thought they had nice designs when they had a license, and the large 'graphs are nice. It is #7/10...

Next up, another one I've been on the hunt for a while. Murray (gabbygrabby) has the only other one I've ever seen, and I'll admit I've been coveting his. About a week ago one showed up in an eBay store with a good BIN price, and I couldn't pull the trigger any faster. This set is pretty rare at 1:7500 packs, and I am now the proud owner of this bad boy...

Last, but not least, another one for my 02-03 Parkhurst Retro Master Set conquest. This beauty puts me at 13 of the 15 cards in the set. It's hard to believe that after 3-4 years of working on this set I'm so close to completion. It is only the third three color swatch I've been able to land so far. Now I just need to find a way to talk a certain HI member out of the last two I need. He pulled them and is rather fond of them, so it's not going to be easy. This one came from eBay, and is #10/10...

That's hilarious...every Ice Scripts set builder has a Kobasew by the time of their first mail post...I've had one since the product was released and it seems every time I offer a Kobasew to a set builder, he already has it :laugh:

That being said Pat, I think I have about a half dozen or more Mike Cammalleris from that set. If you hook me up with your address, I'll gladly send you one than have you go through the effort of buying one :beer:

Pat, thanks for the trade. That Gaborik patch is a tough one, congrats on getting that one. I too have been looking for that one also. If I would have known I would have pulled the trigger also. Good Luck on the ice scripts set. I tried doing 06/07 set, but gave up already to pursue other interest

I've always liked those Retro's...very sharp copy! The 03/04 UD Patches have always been a favorite as well...those were the good ol' days, when a UD Patch card actually contained a healthy-sized patch! Heck, I'm actually working on a trade for a card from that set right now, of a player that I don't even collect, just to have one in my collection!

Glad I could inspire you Pat, and I agree the 06/07 Ice Scripts are the best design of the three releases to far. Nice snag on the Roy, get the big guns out of the way early and it makes it a lot easier!

Also nice snag on the Super Snipers patch, I KNEW I had seen a two-color one besides the one Murray has. I wonder if that is the same one I saw years ago.
