The Ultimate Darryl Strawberry Collection

Some of you who saw my the post with some of my Mets PC may have wondered: where the heck is all the Darryl Strawberry stuff? He was a Met! Below is the answer.

I am a HUGE Darryl Starwberry fanatic, and that's an understatement. I am likely the biggest Strawberry fan on the planet! Here's some of the auto's in my Strawberry PC and some of my cooler memorabilia issues. There are tons of cards 10 and under as well as 5 and under. I like to think of myself as the # 1 Straw guy around so if you have it and don't see it here, PM me, I may need it!

Awesome collection. I met Straw at a Mets blood drive here in New York. Nice guy. I ahve to say though, I'm rather surprised that there is so much stuff of him w/ the Yankees. I honestly didn't think his time with them was that memorable/notable. I know he lasted a few years but he hardly ever played with the exception of 1998.

KJ, thanks for the look. Glad you liked the evolution of Straw's sig!

Josh, thanks again for coming in and looking ar anothe rof my baseball posts buddy. That Straw/Davis dual is a fave of mine. I have been trying to acquire a copy since that product released and it has been killing me. I found out recently why: that card is one the short prints in the 5-10 copies range, just like the Strawberry/Gooden version. I only got both within the past 3 or 4 months. If I see another, PM me with your price and I'll grab it for you!

Jason, thanks for the look and the kind words bout' my Starw goodness. I love this PC. Along with my Rob Blake stuff it is probably the most fun I have collecting sports cards.

Mike, thanks for coming in as always buddy and giving some props. Glad you liked it all. And as far as the "residue", LOL, notice how many dual auto cards of Straw and Doc there are? Think they might be having signing "parties"?

BJork, thnaks for the kind words my man. I bet you go nuts collecting Shaq. That's a tall (no pun intended) and expensive task. I collect him, but only Lakers autos and some memorabilia. If you have any of that you wanna get rid of PM me!

Nash, yeah that's what I am told. I am yet to encounter the man but I hope to someday, I would love to just shoot the breeze with him for a few minutes. As far as all the Yanks stuff, well we all know Yanks stuff sells to the masses, plus people like to have cards of their players from all different stops in thier careers these days. He did get 3 WS rings with the Spankees. I heard they're hollowed out with a flip top for fun on the go, hehe.

Jay, LMAO, classic. man I remmeber that call raining down on Darrly all over the country at every ballpark. The places it seemed to be the worst (besides Shea when he was slumping) was Wrigley Field and Boston during the 86 Series. Haha but we showed them.......Mookie, Mookie!
