Theo Fleury coming back?

Wow, I hope he can pull this off. I bet he'd score 20 goals. He really does need to come back and finish off that great career...

wow, are we all speaking with our hearts? I too wish him all the best and hope he can come back and pot 20 but I think there is a 1 in 1000 chance of him making an nhl team let alone scoring 20. He is 41 and hasn't played in forever.

Claude Lemieux just did it, and I have a feeling Theo has a little more to prove than him......

Flames for league minimum? I would love to see it.

Theo was my favorite player by far. Too bad he couldn't stay off the drugs. Theo Fleury + the New NHL would have been INSANE!

Im all for him trying to make a comeback. Kudos to him for having the guts to try. I just cant see Sutter .....or Sutter, for that matter....going for it. He might make it to another team, but at his age, and with his track record.....sober or not......the odds are against him IMO.

Hahahahhaa....

Here are his stats from Belfast in 05-06; the last number is Penalty Minutes. Looks like he'd be a fit on the new LEAFS goon squad....

I agree with everything you say here.

If he can get back into shape, I agree that he can score atleast 20 goals.

If he gets 20, it would be considered a tremendously successful season. This new NHL suits his style of play to a T. Although, he is 41....

Good luck to him, any idea of which teams might be interested? If he is allowed back that is. Loved him on the Rangers, would not object to him returning.

My vote goes to the Flames though, just out of my yearning for some old school.

I'm all for it as he has always had tons of heart as a player.
Let's hope Bettman has some heart and at least removes his suspension to allow him to at least attempt to finish his career off the way Fleury wants too.

The drive and passion he exhibited his entire career, along with the ability to slay his demons many times over..... if anyone can do it, it's him.

There are farrrrrr worse players cutting paychecks currently. As far as not playing, he HAS been playing, which is more than many guys who came back after the lock-out can say.

I say he makes it.

I hope he doesn't come back. He was an embarrassment. And quite honestly, I don't see the point (in the comeback). He is 41, and unlikely to make any kind of an inpact at that age, and being away from the game as long as he has.

Of course you don't see the point, YOU"RE NOT HIM. I'm sure he wouldn't attempt it if HE didn't think he could do it and help a team.

oy yuy yuy.....

The guy was an alcoholic, I dont know how that makes him a huge embarrassment. He was a rare good character in the game, so many players are either terrible people, or good people but quiet players. He was a good player and person for the game. I would love to see him in a rangers uni again.
