I'm doing the set and I wouldn't pay more then $10 for this card!

that's insane. I wouldn't pay $5 for a Kyte auto. It's not short printed. There have been a few on E-bay already. That's weird.

Actually, you underestimate Jim Kyte's drawing power.

Aside from the fact that he made his name as a fairly capable fighter, he also happens to be one of - if not the only - deaf person to play at the NHL level. He has a tremendous following amongst the hearing impaired - most of which aren't collectors per se, and have no idea what that card SHOULD sell for.

Man there are 3 others on Ebay right now that are in and around the $20 range, this is insanity!

For some of these players that anyone under 20-25 haven't really heard of, these are, for many of them, their only signature card. If they had a good local following, chances are you're going to have bidding wars go off

Precisely. As Ryan said in another thread - how much stuff do some of these guys HAVE? I don't think there's any other Anderson memorabilia out there, for example.

Kinda surprised at the price, but I expected some of these guys to sell really well. Just like some of the Sapphire and Emerald parallel's which are some of te biggest cards for the common player collectors. I also think that since most of the 2004-05 products have been vintage based, unless you are a fan of an O6 team there hast been much new stuff to collect. Boy I am babbleing. Note to self: Switch to decaf. :D Mike

Geez, first he's interested in some of my cards, and now he's quoting me?!?! It's been a banner week at the Ferris residence!!
