These cards were sealed right?

As far as I know, everything from Superlative was sealed. While it might be real, I still would have doubts, and that's good enough to keep me from spending cash on it.

Yes, all the Superlative cards are packed in top loaders with a ITG seal closure on top.

Does this one not have a "seal"? If so, the card back should have a serial number.

yeah it does look like it was removed from its orignial seal....ask for a bigger scan to see if it does have the seal....if its removed id be careful but ITG does make some nice patches

Honestly the ITG seal wasn't any big protection. I know someone for scanning the card, just took up one side of the seal, scanned the card, and then resealed it. That being said when Superlative did come out, most of the Jumbo swatches were nice. I don't think they had any one colour ones. I could be wrong. Is this one legit? Your guess is as good as mine.

That product was loaded with amazing cards, but considering recent events every nice looking card is going to be called into question.

Arent the ITG cards the ones if you try to take them apart they are almost totally destroyed?

And to be honest from ITG in a high $ product with a low # print run that card would seem correct to me.

I am leaning towards the theory that someone had it in their personal collection and liked it better in a one-touch instead of the toploader. Nothing wrong with that as long as you realize these kind of questions are going to pop up if you ever try to move it.

I would also point out that the perforated stickers used by ITG tend to pop apart fairly easily. That seal is about as ironclad as a contract signed on toilet paper.

I have to agree, 4 of the 5 Superlative cards I have owned the stickers fell apart either before they got to me, after they got to me or whatever. I ended up moving my Morenz Superlative items to one touches.

I'll third that. ITG Superlative seals are brittle as heck, and in my experience a considerable percentage of them either actually break all on their own, or hanging on by a thread.

I'd just ask the dude outright whether or not it he pulled it himself. There's nothing wrong with his feedback, and if he pulled it himself, I think it's a pretty solid testament to the card. I don't think there's anything too crazy about the card; it's just really nice.

Naturally, you'd question whether or not the authenticity is there when the seal isn't. However, it wouldn't be too hard to match the labels and top loaders used for Superlative.

However, without a scan of the original before it was placed into pack, we'll never know for certain.

I highly doubt it's fake. ITG did a great job with those jumbo emblems, almost all of them were beautiful. They also use a glue on their GU pieces that is next to impossible to get apart, and if you try to separate the card you will destroy it. If I was a collector and needed the card, I wouldn't hesitate on that one being authentic.

ts a one touch for sure. I aslo think its real... most, if not all the Jumbo patches from Superlative had sweet swatches.
Also, i take all my personal collection BBR/Superlative/Sportskings cards out of the top loaders and store them in the one touch magnetics. Just looks so much nicer that way and doesnt have all the scratches and wear on the top loader. So its a common thing

Hello...

Real. The seller or whoever simply removed the card from the toploader and put it into a one-touch. Like mentioned above, many collectors have taken this route.

Cheers,

HONESTLY!!

The ITG sticker seal is such a stupid thing. No offence to Dr. Price....

How hard is it to take a common card from that set... carefully peel off the sticker and replace it on an other top loader.

Jeez. If all you guys are holding your breath for the sticker than you are all mad.

I understand the paranoia, but this is getting an almost depressing point.

That being said, I say real because of the fact that you can't take apart ITG cards without damaging them.

Is that jersey material in the swatch also? I can see someone buying a patch to make a fake card but buying a whole jersey does not seem very cost effective. Also, even though its a nice card, if someone was going to fake it you would think it would be even nicer.
