Thinking about a new project

Hello,

I'm reflecting about starting a new project, maybe a jersey set. Do you think that a jersey set from a 01-02 to 03-04 Pacific product would still be doable by now by trades?

I was always a fan of 02-03 quest for the cup & the crown royal triple threads, 01-02 I think they were?

I don't know about the Crown Royal, but I'm betting you could probably put together either the Titanium or the Private Stock jsy set. It wouldn't be super e-z, but I think they would be a nice challenge. Maybe even dabble in the patch version if you are feeling super motivated.

Try the 01-02 Private Stock.

I put together the jersey and patch set, and managed to do almost all of them via trades. It was fun and challenging!

definitely doable. I was able to do both of the 01-02 and 02-03 Bowman jersey sets and Pacific was just as broken if not moreso. LMK which set you decide to do, I have a few heres and theres

If you chose an older Pacific Jersey set, be aware that many of them have announced and unannounced SP's that still sell for big bucks. For example, 2003-04 Pacific Calder has a really cool Jersey set, but the Lemieux is #/66 and they rarely pop up. They can fetch $75 to $100 or so if they do on the bay... Invincible had a Hasek SSP I believe too. you may want to do a little research first before picking a project. Good luck to whatever you decide. Mike

Thank you for all the replies. I'm still reflecting about which set to go after, Topps have some interesting jerseys subsets in these years too.

A set like Private Stock would be a long-term project with such a large checklist, which is interesting.

Are there some unlisted SPs in Titanium Draft Day 01-02? Also, are non-white swatches hard to find in that product?


Also, in UD Legends Masterpieces 08-09, are there some unlisted SPs in the brown border jersey set?

Currently doing that set myself and there are only 11 SP, I have seen most of them and they can be had for cheap. Very fun set to do! Can't go wrong with a set full of HOF'ers:beer:

I've been able to land a box of Pacific 03-04 hobby locally, and I'll break it soon. I'm thinking about doing the base set + inserts + jersey set (and slowly upgrade it to non-white and multicolor swatches).

Also, while looking into my PC stuff, I found a Smyth jsy card from Atomic 02-03, and I really like the look of it. So, I'm also thinking about doing this set, and upgrade it to non-white and multicolor swatches when possible.

Do you think that these 2 jersey sets are still doable from trades on hobby sites over 5 years after release?
