A big thanks to ssinger for helping me complete the last piece of the puzzle to put together this one-of-a-kind Bobby Orr rainbow.
I've been working on the Masterpieces master set ever since it came out, still have just over 60 autographed cards to go (almost all of them x/15 or x/5), but really excited not to have to worry about chasing any more Bobby Orr's, as I've completed a pretty epic rainbow.
First up the base card, and the somewhat surprising Group E auto parallel - I didn't expect UD to make Orr one of the easier autos to find.
Red parallel x/100 and red auto x/30.
Black parallel x/50 and black auto x/15 (love the gold ink!).
Next up is the black & white portrait subset - again UD made Orr one of the 'easier' players to find as a Group C auto, although the odds are pretty long, I figure there are some 20'ish copies.
The red parallel is x/100, but the autograph version is a tough x/5.
The black parallel is x/50, while the beautiful gold autograph version is a true 1/1!
While most of Masterpieces consists of the base set and a bunch of parallels, there's also a nice small two card rainbow (if you can call it that) - the Wire Photo and autographed version...
And last but not least, there are 20 hand painted cards inserted, 10 copies apiece. I'm a huge fan of hockey art, and these look amazing in person!
