I ran across this looking for ruth's to buy and my jaw dropped and i almost cried. Total mutilation of legends and many high premiunm cards of legends just to have a #1 of#1. Fool This is any memrobillia collectors nightmare. Just thaught i'd share my rage and disbelife with everyone.

Out of all honesty, I would probably do the same thing. Whenever you try to "sell" game used cards and only get "will you trade" responses, those cards become worthless. So, if I have cards that I have no use for and can't "sell" them, I would probably do the same thing. A lot of people want to be tightwads and claim they are broke and can only trade, yet do box and case breaks... it has nothing to do with being broke. It's about where people's priorities are (they rather rip open packs than buy singles) which is a personal problem, not a financial one. So, he may have gotten tired of being stuck with those cards and couldn't get a decent offer for them.

I think he could have gotten a decent amount for several of those cards, the thorpe/ruth would have sold for more then he will ever get on this auction

In my opinion, the items were mutiliated when they were originally cut up by the card companies.

It happens. A lot of weeds in the garden will do that sometimes. Spoils it for everyone else.
