Ok within the past month now 2 Packages from Canada to me have gone lost ....this is ridiculous I have emailed the USPS and they of course are like drooling retards ....Im sick of this

I feel the pain, I have not gotten something from a good trader in here that was sent out in early JAN. A bunch of base cards for in person graphing and a signed cert jersey card. I feel the pain and is really getting frustrating....not the first time for me as well. Getting to where I only want to buy out of the STATES now!!! The sad thing is I believe the stuff is being sent as I pick carefully for the most part who I deal with based on feedback---plus all my stuff I buy is low end stuff for graphing purposes so no one really will not sent it---> if that all makes sense.

Nick,
Explain this one:
I sent 10 packages out on Feb 28th. A week later, still not recieved. 9 days later, the first one was delivered to Arizona. The Second to Hawaii. The last 2 to be delivered:
WV and Ohio.
So the USPS is saying that it takes longer to deliver a package 350 miles away than it does 3500 miles away.

Dont get discouraged...things usually end up making their way. I have had 2 lost that I had to replace, fortunately, they werent that high in value.

Good Luck!
Tom

sending stuff to canada is a pain, but things usually get here. it is awkward at though, when delivery times are all over the place. case in point, how is it that a package from new hampshire only takes 3 days, but something from NY takes 3 weeks? it boggles the mind!

I got you guys beat.

Package from Toronto to Michigan (5 hour drive) - 2 weeks
Package from Toronto to San Jose (6 hour flight) - 1 week, 1 day
Package from Toronto to Vancouver (6 hour flight) - 5 days
Package from Toronto to AUSTRALIA (24 hour flight) - 3 DAYS!

Actually its a pretty simple reason most of the time. Longer distances will get the air-mail treatment, shorter ones get shuttled hither-and-yon by truck. That's why overseas mail is so quick, it gets the first-class seat on a direct flight.

Now as to why Canada-US mail takes so long (when it's classed air-mail  ) I cannot answer this...

Personally I've not had a package into or out of Canada take more than 4 weeks...unless you count that one time with the blind mailman...:D

I've been waiting on a card from a good trader for what seems like forever, still haven't recieved it yet. I'm starting to think that it's been lost in the mail.

Hi,

I've been waiting for a bunch of stuff from the US. Some of it has been over a month and it's just getting more ridiculous. I ended up getting a package from a guy in Canada yesterday and he ended up mailing it on the 16th but I've had other stuff from Ontario take a week or two. The mail service was never this bad for me.

i have learned to just be patient when it comes to trades b\c some will take longer than others and there really isn't much reason to worry or be frustrated b\c the majority of traders on this and other forums are fine. if you have any questions about a trader you can always ask for background checks. as easy as that!

Patience is the key in this whole situation. Really the system is as good as its going to get considering Canada Post is a crown corporation. 51 cents to mail within Canada and 89 cents to the US is a pretty darn good price when you think about it. So sometimes it takes 5 days and the odd time 5 weeks. For such a convieniant service and low prices you really can't complain too much.
