This is why I love COMC so much...

I too have found a few pretty hard to find cards on COMC. It's a great site! Man I got a brain fart over which cards I picked up off of there that I couldn't find anywhere else...hmm I will update this post when they come to mind.

I don't think I got anything super rare but I picked up a ton of pc player cards in my first & only order from there. I'll have to go back & look again. Lots of low end cards that just never get listed anywhere and it's a huge bonus to get so many in one shot.

Nothing rare, a 95-96 Pinnacle Artists Proof looks like the oldest card I picked up over there. It's been awhile

I picked up several hundred cards over there, and I know there are still a couple hundred that I need. Only problem is that the sellers that have the others I need have them listed at unreasonable prices and have "minimum offer" restrictions that make dealing for them next to impossible.

I've been trying to rebuild my collection from the early 90s over there. I completed my Shaquille O'Neal RC collection for under $20 and I've been grabbing some very low end Blue Jays stuff for pennies. I didn't take them seriously when the set up at the Expo a few years ago...boy was I wrong!

That's the good thing...stuff not worth listing on eBay is showing up on COMC and people are jumping on it. I read about sellers on other sites making hundreds a week with minimal work AND they're moving crap that was sitting in their closets.

Thank God for COMC.

This has been my experience as well - catch them during one of their sales (like the Spring Cleaning one going on now) and get free shipping when you purchase a large chunk o cards (50 I think?).

I have picked up a lot of nice lower end stuff in bulk and a couple real nice high end pieces at good prices but much of the stuff in the middle seems to be a bit tougher or the prices are higher than I am willing to go.

All in all - damn good site.

Yeah, there's definitely some items in the mid-range that can be found for a better deal elsewhere, but I also have picked up 50+ mostly low-end PC cards from COMC over the last 4-5 months.

I have to say that I've never seen this site before but I'm pretty happy I took a look!, quite a few older Weight cards I found on there that I haven't seen in years, thanks for the share

Shawn helped me find a 95-96 Score Artist's Proofs Tommy Salo RC I needed for years. That's the other great thing, that they scan front and back of every card, because it was listed as a regular Black Ice. One of the few times I've paid full price rather than offering first. :D

EDIT: Hahaha, they actually corrected the Salo to show Artist's Proof after the fact, so my history says - Book Value: $80.00, Purchase Price: $2.50.

A couple of my other favorites were the 98-99 Upper Deck Exclusives /100 Laaksonen RC and the 08-09 Collector's Choice StickUms #23 Kane. Anybody who's done that set can tell you that those are pretty much impossible to find for some awful reason.
