I was lucky enough to pull this card and I thought it was gorgeous! But after looking at the jets jerseys, I have no idea where on the jersey these patches are from??? Maybe the tag? Does any one know?

Yup, a Thrashers jersey.
Third year and UD is still using the Thrasher jersey stock. I could see if you used it for a timeline/career type card, but hey, it's time to get a Jets jersey on those cards UD. Panini has one and there have been some real nice cards cut out of it. It would be nice to see more of the new Jets jerseys on the new products. Keeps the player collecting I am doing interesting and fresh.

Yeah, we can thank upper deck for this. With the shortage of Winnipeg jerseys im glad UD reused a thrashers jersey, Lol! Its still in my top 10 of personally pulled patch cards. I think its awesome but Jets colors would have been better. Im still glad to have pulled it!

Come on guys, Upper Deck has been known to use jerseys of old teams. The best example that comes to mind is Joe Thornton.
This card is from 10-11, and those are Bruins patches. Joe Thornton was traded to San Jose in 2005!
It doesn't forgive them, but you can't expect UD to move to Winnipeg gamers right away, as long as they have those Trashers jerseys hangin' around the warehouse. ;-)

You can't blame UD for using up perfectly good stock they probably paid a pretty penny for. Sure it's not ideal for collectors, but look at it from a business perspective.

They use up their stockpiles which is why even a product without GUs such as Fleer Retro included Autos of players who had left the NHL a couple of years ago.
