Had some quality pieces arrive this week for my ever growing Frank Mahovlich PC.
First up are a pair of auto's from the 91-92 Future Trends Summit set. There is a silver version as well as a gold, these came from an Ebay purchase. If anyone knows a little about the history of the auto's from this set please post it here.

Next we have an 06-07 ITG International Ice Team Canada 72 auto. This came from a purchase from Trevor (Wingnut888). Always a pleasure to deal with Trev.
These are hard to come by and I'm happy to have landed this one.

Moving along we come to a nice addition from this years The Cup set.
Cup Enshrinements Dual auto Mahovlich/ Sittler #1/25, like that numbering.
I have to give a big shout out to Winston for the trade we did for this beauty.
Deals are always easy and smooth with Mr. Hart, thanks bud.

Next we come to another addition from the 07-08 The Cup set.
Stanley Cup Signatures Frank Mahovlich Habs version #03/25.
Completed a trade with one of my oldest trading partners, Cory (Will411) for this sweet looking card. Thanks a million Cory for our severalteenth deal:D

I also got a nice little surprise birthday package this week;

These came from my good buddy Rob (Tanguayfan), Rob they were very much appreciated my friend.

i suspect the silver auto is an after market one. the tell tale sign for the pack inserted autos is a sort of swirl mark texture to the card itself. also i have never seen one in anything but gold ink

that said, i have been wrong before and will be wrong again.

regardless, very nice cards

ps, not saying the silver is a fake, i just dont think it was a pack inserted card, i think it is part of the regular series that was signed in person

The Stanley Cup auto is amazing.
BTW did the seller on ebay have any more of the 91-92 Future Trends autos for sale as there are a couple Im looking to land from that set(Goldsworthy's only certified auto).

Jeff, to be honest I never noticed if the seller had any others from that set. The Goldsworthy would be a tough find I'm thinking.

Dan,just a bit of information on the Future Trends autos.There are are actually two versions of these cards.Not sure if you happen to have the two different versions.But what happened was there was a pack insert auto that if you look close to the surface of the card it has a hubble on it.Almost like a curling ice surface.The second version was a sit down signing promoted by THE BAY stores and these were just signed on the regular cards that were in the set.THE BAY sold these as a complete set and for obvious reasons are much,much easier to obtain.The ones found in the packs carry a major premium over the ones sold by THE BAY.Hope this sheds a bit of light for you.The dual looks nice with its new owner.Take care and happy collecting,Winston.
 
the 72 ato set is really nice, besides , its the only place aside from the 1 of 1 from the recent superlative issue that you can get one of these

Winston, thanks again for the deal and for your info on the Summit auto's. I also have a Mahovlich auto from that set that is a different card, horizontal design.


Pacman69, those Dryden sigs are scarce to say the least, he just hasn't got too many certified auto's out there. Thanks for the scan.
