This years rookies

Well in the past few years they have managed to give everyone who laced up the skates for a game or sat on the bench as a backup a rc. This year there seems to be so many rookies, some pretty big, still without a rc. I'm sure ud will get in guys like oullet and fehr but what about guys like St.Pierre (chicago) or Armstrong (Pittsburg)? Do you think there will be some guys who miss getting a rc or do you think ud will do a bowman type set at the end of the year to at least get most of them in?

I'm of the opinion that UD will be coming up with the infamous Rookie Update Set!

What with the Bonus Top pack and the usual assortment of RC's! IMO, this should pretty well hit the majority of them!

uhhh, Upper Deck Series 2 is around the corner. That should knock off the majority of em... then like Brian mentioned, a Rookie Update at the end of the year is likely

I'm wondering if they may save some players for next year. Since no one else can make RC's this year and next years rookie crop should be smaller, those players cards would still be RC's next year. If they don't do that there may be a lot of players with just a couple of RC's this year, which could lead to some cards selling high like Josh Harding's RC's did a couple of years ago.

There should be a fleer rookies set or something like that also. They (hopefully) won't miss anybody major.

Some of you weren't getting my point I have been waiting for a few of the smaller players and am worried they won't get in. I hear there has been over 100 players to make their debuts this year already. I know the bigger name guys will make it. What I was wondering about are the late draft pick, small but speedy guys who could turn into the next Marty Stlouis.

Well, if for some reason they don't get a card this year, then there is always next year. It will still be considered a RC. Mike

Some of us don't collect just players like Sakic. I seem to like the role playing stiffs as you call them. Some of those role playing stiffs turn out to be pretty good players too.
