Thoughts on 09 10 Ice

What's everyones experience on 09 10 ice box breaks? I wan to start collecting rookies and glacial graphs, didn't like the jersey sets that much and I know the figure skater autos were way to common. What's your thoughts on grabbing a box or two?

Well if you want rookies and glacial graphs ICE is what you want. Ice rookies /99 are some of the most collected rookie cards in the hobby. Glacial graphs are good looking and make a nice set. Also im pretty sure there are some SP's so there is some hunting involved.

Ice was probably my favourite product since i pulled a duchene /99.. sad to see they canned it

Ice 2009-10 is a very nice product to collect but sadly it's one of those hit or miss products. Buy a case and you won't be disappointed.

Yeah I don think I'm google after the /99 rookies right away and tenice set autos have like 52 so I won't be completing it in a hurry. But i can't get a full case how would three boxes do?

if you are building a set, busting boxes is not the smartest thing to do at all. At the price of 3 boxes, you can get every non /99 RC and maybe even couple fo the /99 RCs because they put tons of guys at /99 that year.

I would say without question, if you are interested in collecting any aspect of this set, buy individual cards. I have very poor luck with the product myself. I also went to a box break party at a lcs when it came out, and the results were not very good at all..

Do you have a list of haves? or wants?

I might avoid the boxes altogether if you want to collect the Glacial Graphs and think box breaking's the way to get them since you might be disappointed in the end. If I recall correctly, the Champions autos were originally supposed to be a bonus, but they ended up seeded with the other autos...so your one auto a box is either a glacial graph or a champions auto...not a glacial graph with the chance of a champions auto.

I watched 6 breaks on YouTube, 4 champion autos. Maybe I'll try one box for fun but I'm Definitly staying away now.

But I don't have a want or have list because I own nothing from the set so far. Please pm me if you have anything thanks.

If you want to start with the RC's I have a ton of them. I got in on a hot case and there are a ton of leftovers still.
