As a fairly new member (buyer and seller on COMC) - it seems as if a few new changes are going on.

A few better received than others

- Beckett Values are now gone (unless it is YOUR card you are selling)

- Now there is a History of Sales options - basically shows how many sold and highest price sold

- Along with the introduction of "The Vault" - basically new high end section

overall I love the history of sales option and could care less about not having BV

and a bit of a shameless plug - I have now priced all my cards both the cheapest currently on the site and cheapest ever sold - most is just inserts/base

Hi neilnijjar! Moe from COMC here...I want to say thanks for joining the COMC Nation, it's great to have you aboard.

And, thanks for the feedback - we're going thru a lot of changes here and we're always looking to hear from our friends and customers, to see what we can do to improve your experience on our website, and with our services.

I just wanted to remind you that we've also started handling (unscratched) redemption cards now, making that whole process easier for you. Check out our blog post about it:

If you ever have any questions or anything, you can catch me here - I'm usually lurking around during the day.

Have a great day!

Where is this option? I've been looking for something like this so I can decide on which cards I should send in. Is it only available for cards you have for sale?

Just click on the price of the card you're interested in, and you'll see a pop-up window, with the sales history of the card. Thanks!

I like COMC, except for the rules surrounding an offer - I'm a bit ill at ease with the requirement that I have store credit to make an offer.

Is there anything specific about the policy that causes you to feel this way? Anything I can do to help out?

Moe - Why do I need to limit my funds by having them in COMC's custody just to make an offer on a card? If your terms of purchase are similar in nature to any other commercial site, the process of offer and acceptance is a binding contract - there is no need for the added coercion of requiring me to have funds on deposit with you.

Barriers to entry like these will always have a major impact on your conversion rates. If you keep it simple, more will follow.

I agree with quincy on this one as well. I found a card I was interested in, but wasn't going to purchase $1000's of dollars in store credit to make an offer with the possibility of being declined. It would be nice to make an offer, get accepted or declined, then purchase the store credit if the offer was accepted. We should not have to pay to browse and make offers.

Suggestion: Take our credit card info on file for purchases?

This seems like it should be an easy solution and would be an ideal alternative to locking up funds. I envision a mechanism where accepted offers can be "swept" nightly (if not automatically at time of acceptance) against the credit card on file and everything else should be able to proceed as normal.

I'm a small-baller so I'm not too worried about having $20 on ice for a while if necessary (compared to, say, $200 if an offer doesn't go through), but it is annoying when I have $1.36 left and make an offer for that amount on a $1.60 card and the seller comes back with a $1.48 counter - LOL!

Perhaps they could do it like the gas stations do. Put a pre-authorized charge on the credit card, up to whatever amount the customer says, and only complete the transaction when a purchase is made. So instead of "Store Credit" balance that can be used to buy cards, a user would have "Pre-Auth Credit" available to make offers and buy cards.

Just a thought...not sure if that is feasible.

If COMC can iron out the buying credits thing (which I am also not a fan of), that would be the end of A LOT of people selling on eBay. The ability to check completed sales will be HUGE in drawing traffic to the site.

I don't need to go on again about how much of a fan of COMC.com I am.

The only reason why I don't use COMC is because I have to buy credits before I make a purchase and I have to buy more than what I need or what the item is worth. I steer clear from making purchases like that.
