Tip: Ebay "Reserves" REALLY scare people off

Long story short...

I had a reserve on a card that didn't sell... it ended at $78.

I said what the hell, so I took the reserve off and relisted it almost immediately... it ended tonight at $124. A difference of $46 for what really? Same card, almost the same friggin week!

NOT to mention, the watchers TRIPLED... yes, exactly tripled for the item.


Tip: DO NOT USE RESERVES

I'd rather the seller started the item out higher, rather than use reserve. As a buyer, it's frustrating and a waste of time to watch and bid on auctions that you have no idea of whether or not you can actually obtain. I understand the seller wanting a certain amount of money, which is why I'd rather see it start out higher than spending time waiting on something that might not be sold at all! Even worse are sellers that put a high reserve on something, and then start the bids at $.99. Pointless. But my opinion only.

for the most part they are a wast..it is bacially only to coax thebidder to look at your item thinking it has a low starting bid....

When a card has a reserve the seller should put the reserve price in the description.
