Top autograph card

Who are the top players out there that have the most desired autographed cards? I take it Gretzky and Orr are the top 2. Am I right?

Gretzkys a given. Orr is an easy pick as well. Both are arguably the most popular 2 players to have ever played.

I suppose there are plenty of others. Howe, Roy, Lemieux ......... maybe the odd Richard.

The big stars such as Gretzky, Orr, Howe, Brodeur, Roy, Lemieux ect. all command good money and always will. They all, however, have a huge amount of autographs on the market. As a single card of a specific player I would have to say Ken Dryden's Future Trends autograph from the early 1990s 1972 Summit Series set. It's his only certified autograph on the market and keeps rising in price. I still have yet to acquire one.

Id put the Rocket at #2 behind the Great One. The last 7-8 years have seen a flood of Orr autos on the market which continues to grow. Maurice Richard however, isnt signing any more cards......

Of the certified and mass produced, Gretzky is #1 and Orr is #2 and Howe was #3 for many years. Maurice Richard is coveted by most serious collectors but not nearly as much as the other three. Of course Cut autos of Tim Horton, Jacques Plante, Pelle Lindbergh, Turk Broda,etc garner big coin.

Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, Mark Messier, Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman, Bobby Hull, Frank Mahovlich, Peter Forsberg, Dave Keon all do well with a larger group.

There are others that are very collectable and sell well despite not being HHOF like Felix Potvin, Marion Gaborik, Mats Sundin, Eric Lindros, etc.

Just my opinion.
