This year I chose to show my favourite cards from 2020 in groups and not really as a “Top 10”.
It’s been an interesting year, to say the least, but I was still able to add some nice items to our collection.

Vintage RC’s
I have always wanted to add vintage RC’s to my collection. I tend to buy them at low grades so I can be pretty sure that they are not trimmed, and, just as importantly, they tend to be relatively affordable while still being encased and protected.

George Vezina
Vezina is high on almost every hockey collector’s want list. This is the only Vezina card I was able to add to my collection this year. I’m looking forward to my box of the President’s Choice Vezina Collection!

Vintage Signatures
I continue to acquire signatures of vintage HHOF members who passed away before they could sign an infinite amount of autographs. Here are a few relatively scarce autographs I added to our collection in 2020.

Steve Yzerman has been one of my favourite players to collect since the 1980’s. Here a are a few Yzerman cards I was able to add to my collection this year.

Maurice Richard
This amazing item arrived in the mail yesterday, so I am adding it to my top acquisitions of 2020 even though it is not a card.

Jacques Plante
My favourite player to collect is Jacques Plante, and I am always trying to find unique Plante cards for my collection. The first two Leaf cards have a nice classic look to them, and I was fortunate to add them to my collection.

This last card is definitely my favourite addition of 2020, and perhaps since I started collecting. I contacted Brian Price this past summer and asked him if he could take on a special project for me. Brian said “Anything is possible” and so I sent him the two autographs needed for the project.
