Top Loader Pages.......Ghetto Style!

Bear with me here......I feel like I'm doing a sales pitch!

I was thinking of a way to put my Staal collection into binders because lets face it, looking at a box full of plastic is not fun, at least in my opinion. The only problem was I don't want to take them out of the top loaders. I see they have these. http://www.toploaderbinder.com/ The only problem is they don't fit just any binder, not to mention I think they are expensive! I went to a card shop and saw those 4 pocket pages by Ultra Pro. I bought one to see how a top loader would fit. As expected, it wobbled around and didn't look to safe. I then tried putting the top loader in a graded card bag before the 4 pocket page......BINGO! It was a perfect fit.

There was one little problem. When the top loader was put in the graded card bag, it held air and was like a small "bubble". I just used a pin and put a little hole in a bottom corner and squeezed the air out. Fit alot nicer.

Yeah, I know it seems time consuming but I have more time than money, lol.


Relativley cheap and 4x the protection!

Here is what it looks like. I think I am on to something here.
Please let me know if you see any flaws in this idea. I don't mind constructive criticism.


I just used some of my duplicate base. I didn't feel the need to wow you with my collection, lol!

I wouldnt go through all that trouble to protect a base card. PC or not. Id just be using 9pocket pages

They were just an example. I didn't feel the need to pull out autos, patches and 1/1's to show off my idea, lol.

I think it is a great idea - especially if you can use a standard size binder to fill with different kinds of pages. That way you can fill in base in a 9 pocket page, minis and such in a 15 pocket page and the shiny ones like you have them above, nice work!

I actually bought the top loader binder. But this idea is certainly more economical...I could see using it when I run out of the others....I suppose having a 6-card page is nice but for a player/team collection 4 is just as good

I keep all my fleury, roberts & clark gu cards in 4 pocket pgs. I tape the pockets shut just in case but they work great!

I haven't tried but I think they would be heavy an could fall out. The page you see above, I turned upside down and shock it quite violently just to test if the top loaders would fall out......they barely moved.
