Topps Olympic Hockey Autographs

Hey all. I know many of you only follow the Hockey releases so I thought I would give y'all a heads up on a product releasing today from Topps. They are releasing 2014 Topps UD Olympic & Paralympics today. The entire Checklist hasn't been announced, but there are hard signed Jim Craig and Mike Eruzione Autos listed in the Champions Autograph Subset. No current NHLers to my knowledge, but I could be wrong.

I have a case coming, but I am going to hold off busting it until...well...the Olympics. Not sure why Topps rushed out this 2104 product three months before the Olympics.

They did the same thing with London - product came out a few months before those games - some autos prices' peaked then too and now boxes can be had in the $40-50 range IIRC.

Those medalists in the glamour sports - like swimming and gymnastics got the highest prices. So you should expect the same for figure skating and maybe skiing - and possibly the X-Games events

Wow, that's a great looking card! Really makes me wish that Topps still had an NHL license. Although I'm not interested in the Miracle on Ice guys, I may try for a Lindsey Vonn auto. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, they only rushed it 90 years ahead of its time...

Good to know about it for sure, nice to see them back at the hockey game.
