I have strayed away from my Leaf's PC over the past few months to change my gears to football, but I was able to pick up a couple of cards yesterday at the show. The show was absolutely packed b/c of the Big M signing autographs and it looked like he was class act and I heard he even stayed until after the show was over. Without further adieu here are the scans of the cards I picked up!
Also picked up the score rc and glossy rc as well as his donruss rc. He may not have scored yet, but he has showed a lot of creativity and hasn't been totally terrible in the defensive end. I don't like how Wilson keeps moving him from line to line. Keep him with one line for a month and see what he can do. I do like his latest combination with Versteeg and Armstrong though since you have a good combination of skill and grit. He won't really work out with Kessel since both of them demand the puck. He is a good prospect and he hasn't looked out of place and he is producing points at a decent rate. In his 13 games or whatever I think he has 7 assists which isn't so bad for his first time up here.
The Monster has been pretty darn good so far this season and has shown signs that he could be #1, but by no means should be given that role as of yet. He should just continue splitting the games with Giggy and if he continues his solid play and Giggy continues to be decent, they can trade Giggy by the trade deadline and Gustavsson can be the #1 next year with Lynnas as his back up. Regardless, the Leaf's are pretty set in goal for the foreseeable future since Reimer is a pretty decent goaltending prospect as well...
