Tracked Package Delivered but not Received...

I mailed a package to a buyer on eBay. Tracked and insured. Tracking information shows it was delivered today but the receiver is saying they did not get a package.

I've opened an investigation with Canada Post, but if in the end they say it was delivered what else can I do?

I have no reason to think the receiver is lying. They have been very good with communication and providing contact information for Canada Post to reach out to them.

I would gladly send a refund if Canada Post covers it but I am guessing that will not be the case. If Canada Post does not, am I going to have to?

If its tracked and insured I am assuming it wasn't a $10 card right?

It sucks, but see what Canada Post comes back with. Maybe there's an easy solution.

I had a similar incident but after the investigation was opened they found it was redirected to a CP outlet depot. Hopefully, it's a similar ending for you. But I was fully anticipating I'd be paying for it. Since then I've added signature required to all my packages with tracking. Just another added layer of protection for both the buyer and seller.

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago (I was the buyer). It showed as delivered, but I didn't get anything.

I never got an explanation, but it showed up a week after it was scanned as delivered. I had opened an inquiry, but I still have no idea what happened.

Sometimes delivery drivers will scan it as delivered to meet the expected date but actually deliver it the following morning.

I lived in an area that it took a few people to complain to Canada Post for it to stop happening.

I have had canada post drop stuff off at my front door that requires a signature.
Their excuse was "if we deem the area safe, we will leave it at the door step".
Prime for porch pirates to take.
Hopefully that isn't what happened in this case.

I have had packages show as delivered and they often arrive within the next couple of days. Not uncoomon, just give it a few more days and it will likely show up.

Nice! That reminds me of the time I got the email that my Amazon package was delivered, so I went out to get it and it wasn't there, took another look at the email and there was a picture of the parcel.....on my neighbours porch!

That's annoying and...sadly...there is likely to be no improvement in the near future.

I am glad to hear that the package was delivered to its rightful owner eventually.
