LINK: 2005-06 Upper Deck Press Plate Tracker
I've always wanted to do something like this with a 1/1 set, and now I have the opportunity to. Over the next few weeks especially, this is going to take a LOT of work, but I think it will be of great benefit to the hobby.
There are 1,948 press plates inserted into Upper Deck Series 2, and my goal is to track all of them that show up! Here's how I'm going to do it:
First and foremost, when I find one of them, I'll list the card's number, color, player, and who originally owns it. If I can confirm a transaction, I'll post the price (or TR for trade, or ?? if the price is unknown)... as well as the new owner. I'll be listing where each card came from online (message board or auction site).
If the card is pulled on a message board, I'll list the date-of-pull in the date column. If it's listed up on ebay, I will list the date-of-sale. Ebay will be given prevalence in case a card pulled on a message board is later sold on the bay.
---------------------
NOW, here's how you can help. I will be updating this list approximtaely twice a day, and I have very effective search methods going on ebay. However, I would encourage people to post in this thread (preferred) or email me if other press plates are located that I don't have listed. Here's my guidelines:
1) If you find one on ebay, wait 24 hours and see if I list it myself. If I haven't listed it in 24 hours, I may have missed it.
2) If you find one on another auction site or message board, please post it here with a link (and pictures if possible), so that I can confirm it and list it!
3) If you find one locally, I need the full details -- player and color. Pictures would be nice but not necessary.
Thanks very much everyone, and I hope this will prove to be an interesting experiment!
