Trade Advice

Never asked advice on a trade as I usually tuck things away for PC but unsure of values. Someone has offered me a Complete Plante jersey from ITG franchises in trade for my dual auto Spezza Gretzky rookie update (which has one soft corner). I am unsure of what each would sell for. If the Spezza was more should I sell it and try to buy the Plante. I think he wants $200 for it.

I might be in the minority but I'd rather have the dual auto.

Anand, sometimes $$$ values get in the way but ask yourself this: which card would you rather have in your PC? If it's not a major dollar difference then do it

I would not do it personally.

While ITG does nice things no doubt ..... the seem to do them again and again. The complete jerseys have been done a lot - while the Dual Auto Rookies from Rookie Update are more unique.

I would be very surprised from a selling standpoint if the Plante garned as much as the Dual Auto.


But as has been said - if it makes you happy and is special to your PC - then you have to decide.

Wouldn't do it. ITG seems to put out a Plante complete every year or so. You're not going to see any more Spezza/Gretzky duals produced and the number out there is somewhat limited.

All good points. I guess I need to rephrase at this point. I would move the Rookie for either cash and buy the Plante or straight up trade. What will the rookie garner me?
The Plante is out of ten (I believe?). Will check ITG website.

Also, bear in mind that lots of these completes have been locked up in PCs. So realistically, there are very few floating out there. You will have more opportunities to obtain that dual than the complete.

If this is going to be a PC card Anand, it's a no brainer. Hell if this was a tradebait acquisition for me, it'd still be a no brainer.

I would take the complete all day over the dual auto.

FWIW I turned down just shy of 300 US on my Rocket Richard triple memorabilia from the same set.
